Getting Started

Well, to be completely honest, my hope behind starting this blog is the fatal and desperate attempt to make a little extra income. I'm at the point of feeling as if I am in between a rock and a hard place as far as the "side income" goes and looking at whatever options are out there. One of the routes that I continually stumbled upon was "blogging for cash." Some of these sights of course claimed that I could "quit my day job" and just blog and answer emails and take surveys and this and that but it all boils down to, I'm sure some of these people are making a killing at doing this but just like the music industry, sports and art, millions try but you only hear a few of those names. Picasso was just another name years ago. Michael Jordan was just another kid with a dream. No one really cares who Shawn Corey Carter is but the moment you hear of Jay Z, your suddenly interested. (They happen to be the same person)

All this is to be said that each and every one of these super stars had t start off taking baby steps at one point. Do I think that I will some day make millions doing any of this? Not a chance. My only hope in this is to see some residual income and begin to dig myself out of the dark and dreary hole we call debt.

I think my first several topics that I'm going to cover will be directed in some facet, toward debt and learning how to get yourself out of it. Discussing different routes with whoever stumbles upon this will only be one more step in the right direction. I want to talk with you about where I am, where I've come from and where I plan to be in the coming years.

One thing that I will ask of each and every person who does check into this blog periodically or follow some of the directions that I put in here is that you will comment. I want this to be an open forum for discussion, growth and changes. Topics in time will cover every end of the spectrum from debt (which will be the first topic), to making money online effectively, to relationships and how to succeed, to family and friends, to your spiritual life (if it exists). This is completely geared toward being an open forum for discussion in hope that it will help others and influence in positive and effective ways.

It's kind of funny to me to see where I initially started with this blog to where it has kind of evolved. In time, this may succeed at providing me with some level of additional money but right now it will focus on helping others in and through whatever topics they face. This will become a breeding ground for success.
